The Challenge: Conklin & de Decker, an aviation company specializing in aircraft costs, aviation research, consulting and education, was looking for a new look and an improved shopping cart. The client sought a shopping cart that would accommodate a variety of complex products, while providing an easy to use interface. Additionally, they wanted to give the users the ability to download products immediately after purchase.
Results/ Metrics: BIS designed a new website that leveraged existing branding while helping to portray Conklin as a leader within the aviation industry. The design utilizes curves from the logo throughout the composition to create movement and interest, counter-balanced with consistent, complementary color tones and typography. BIS also built a Content Management System tool and a custom shopping cart to fit Conklin’s needs and business requirements. The shopping cart tool allows Conklin to update products, offer discounts, charge sales tax, shipping, and handling. Conklin can also easily update graphics, text, seminars, news releases, events and navigation on their site.
