The Challenge: The Association of Washington Cities (AWC) wanted a complete re-design of their website, including the addition of new tools, development of a new site architecture, and integration of everything with AWC branding.
Results/ Metrics: BIS worked closely with AWC to design a new site architecture that would be both user-friendly and content- and function-rich. In addition to high-level page styles and layouts, BIS also put together multiple interior pages, and prepared CSS and images for AWC programmers to use. The site architecture integrates multiple functional tools including a calendar, a member area, a site search, and rotating content on the home page. Complementary design improvements like layers, shadows, and subtle gradients lend depth to AWC branding and make the site seem tangible to users.
