| | - Needs assessment: We listen. Our goal is to understand and clarify your needs and translate them into a document that will be the basis to develop your application or site.
- Functionality requirements: Based on the needs assessment, we create functionality specifications outlining your tools and what they will do.
- Information architecture: The usability designers will develop the information architecture and navigational structure model to ensure the application or site is both organized and intuitive.
- Creative brief: These documents detail the creative goals of your project.
- Website design: Graphic designers will lay out the Home page and an interior page in a graphical format to give you a "snapshot" of the site. View examples in a PDF.
- Storyboarding: The remaining page designs are presented to you in a graphical "storyboard" format.
- Database Schema: Based on the information architecture, design, and storyboards, the database schema will be created.
- Development & coding: This is where it all comes together. BIS developers handle the application and database development per the specification of the project.
- Internal testing: BIS applies our quality assurance process to fully test the site.
- Training: BIS supplies training documents and provides one-on-one training with your site administrators to ensure they understand the new application.
- Application launch: This is the most exciting part of the project -- when your application or site goes live. BIS has developed guidelines to make sure this process is smooth.
- External testing: After your site is on a live server, BIS applies our quality assurance process again.
- Monitoring: BIS will continue to look for ways to enhance your application so it keeps pace with your business' growth.
